Wine Estate

The future of a timeless land

Vineyards, fruit trees, and organic olive oil

Our Story

Our estate began in the early 2000s when Daria first discovered Castiglione della Pescaia as a simple tourist. Captivated by the rugged and unspoiled beauty of the area, she chose Val del Melo as her new home, with an ambitious goal: to reclaim a nearly barren land and create a new farm.

When Daria visited Castiglione della Pescaia in the early 2000s, she was immediately captivated. The rugged, unspoiled beauty of its countryside convinced her to move to Val del Melo with an ambitious goal: to reclaim an almost barren land and create her own farm.

The Vineyards of Val del Melo

The vineyards of Val del Melo cover 11 hectares of land in a valley sheltered from the sea and cooled by the surrounding woods. The microclimate is marked by significant temperature variations and a constant sea breeze, which brings a touch of saltiness and freshness to all our wines. Our vineyards host both native varieties, like Sangiovese, and international ones such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier, cultivated to bring out the best of the Maremma region.

Farming at Val del Melo

When we arrived at Val del Melo, we restored the existing vineyards, planted new fruit trees, and added over a thousand olive trees, from which we produce our IGT Extra Virgin Olive Oil, “Un posto tranquillo.” Daily monitoring of the vines and manual harvesting allow us to create unique wines that tell the story of a land that is alive, wild, and full of surprises.
